Amanatullah Khan: A Delhi court on Saturday sent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan to four-day custody of the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in a case related to alleged irregularities in Delhi Waqf Board recruitment. Special Judge Vikas Dhul issued the order on an application by the ACB. The ACB requested the court that it needs to interrogate Khan for a thorough investigation. Requesting Khan’s 14-day custody, the ACB claimed that five relatives of Khan were appointed on the board, while 22 were from Okhla.

“A person with income of 4 lakhs is getting 4 crores”

It is noteworthy that Amanatullah Khan is an MLA from Okhla, Delhi. The prosecution told the court, “The person, whose income is Rs 4.32 lakh, is receiving Rs 4 crore in cash.” Got slapped “The entire team was assaulted and weapons were recovered,” the prosecution said. Khan was arrested after the ACB raided the premises on Friday. An FIR has already been registered regarding alleged irregularities in the recruitment of Delhi Waqf Board. According to the FIR, Khan had illegally recruited 32 persons in violation of rules and government guidelines during his tenure as the chairman of the board.

Disposal of weapons and money from bedsheets revealed
On Friday, the ACB team had received information from intelligence sources that illegal weapons and money have also been kept at the house of Amanatullah’s wife Maryam, after which an ACB team reached the house of Amanatullah Khan’s wife Maryam to raid. ACB did not get anything from Maryam’s house but when ACB team asked Maryam to show her phone. As soon as the ACB team opened the gallery of Maryam’s phone, the ACB team found a bundle of notes and a picture of a pistol.

After which the ACB’s investigation progressed, the ACB has recovered the sheet lying on the bed during the bed on which the photo of the bundles of notes and pistol was taken. However, money and pistol have not been recovered from Maryam’s house. On Friday, ACB had recovered arms and money from the hideouts of Amanatullah Khan and his associates.
