Weather Update: Monsoon is still active in many parts of the country. It is raining continuously in the eastern part of UP. On the other hand, it is raining intermittently for three days in Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, Azamgarh and adjoining areas. At the same time, apart from Ganganagar in Rajasthan, the Monsoon Trough is now moving towards Hisar in Haryana, Bareilly, Gorakhpur in UP, then southeastwards towards East Central Bay of Bengal. The cyclonic circulation is over North East UP and adjoining areas. Due to this, the chances of rain have increased in UP, Jhar, Khand and Kolkata.

At the same time, conditions are becoming favorable for withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some parts of Northwest India during 3 days.

Another cyclonic circulation lies over East Central and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal. Which is spread up to 5.8 km height above sea level. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to develop over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha and West Bengal coast by September 20. A trough is extending from South Interior Karnataka up to Gulf of Mannar at lower levels.

There is a possibility of rain in these states

During the next 24 hours, there may be a decrease in rain activities over most parts of Northwest, Central and South India. Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells may occur over parts of Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and North Maharashtra. On the other hand, light to moderate rain may occur over parts of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, UP, rest of Northeast India, Uttarakhand, South Gujarat, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Telangana. Light rain is possible over parts of Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Himachal Pradesh and South Maharashtra.
