Delhi News: Congress is continuously attacking the central government. Under this, on Sunday, the Congress will take out a rally against the BJP government at the Center at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. This rally is against inflation, unemployment and increase in GST. Congress leaders will launch an all-out attack on the BJP-led central government at the Centre. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and several other party leaders will address the rally on inflation. It will include party workers from Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh besides other parts of the country.

One lakh people expected to be present

Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal said that ‘Congress has been making huge demonstrations against inflation for the last several years. The rally was organized in December 2021. On 5th August 2022, we had to go to Kingsway Camp after we got arrested and rallied at Vijay Chowk against inflation. Around one lakh people will be present in the rally. Workers and senior party leaders from across the country will also attend. We can proudly say that we are the party which is fighting against inflation and continuously fighting the protests. Our performances are happening everywhere. Demonstration at block level, district and even at petrol pumps. The Congress leader said that a large number of people are reaching Delhi from all the adjoining states for the Hallabol rally. Delhi Congress has also made arrangements for the workers to stay in Delhi.

Tight security arrangements for the rally

Adequate security arrangements have been made in Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan and surrounding areas for the Congress rally to be held today. Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory on its official Twitter handle. In this, commuters have been informed about the road closure on Sunday. The police have made elaborate security arrangements during this period.

Delhi Traffic Police said that the road will remain closed in some parts around the venue due to the call for rally by Congress at Ramlila Maidan. The traffic police advised commuters to avoid certain stretches due to the rally. According to Delhi Traffic Police, Ranjit Singh Flyover, Barakhamba Road to Guru Nanak Chowk, Vivekananda Marg, JLN Marg, Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk, Guru Nanak Chowk around Kamla Market, Chaman Lal Marg, Ajmeri Gate to Asaf Ali Road and Kamala Market Towards DDU.Minto Road Red Light Point will remain closed. It is worth noting that the Congress had recently held a press conference in 22 cities across the country and called for ‘Delhi Chalo’ rally on September 4 at Ramlila Maidan against the BJP government at the Center on inflation and other issues.
