Governor is the Chancellor of the University

Four people, including two students, were injured on Saturday allegedly when a bullet was fired at Maharishi Dayanand University in Haryana’s Rohtak district, officials said. At the same time, the police is probing the aspect of money dispute behind the incident. The incident happened after Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, who attended a function held on the university campus, left the campus. The Governor is also the Chancellor of the University. Police said that three people have been said to be involved in the incident.

The attacker fled from the spot

The attackers fled from the spot after the incident. Police station in-charge Pramod Gautam said, “Four people were injured. We are probing who fired the shot. Preliminary investigation shows that some money dispute was behind the crime.” Gautam said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital, while one person has been seriously injured.
