Jammu Kashmir: Everyday road accidents are happening somewhere in the country. Many people lose their lives in these road accidents and some get seriously injured. Two people were killed and several others were injured when a car skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Sunday. The police informed about this.

Locals launch rescue operation

The accident took place near Shila Shajru at around 7 am when the driver of the car was passing through a bend on the Reasi-Mahor road, an official said. He said the local people launched a rescue operation and found Sakina Begum (40) and her son Imtiaz Ahmed (20) dead. According to the official, Begum’s husband Abdul Majeed (45) and daughter Najmeen Kausar (15) have been admitted to the district hospital in a critical condition.

A few days ago, there was a road accident in Haryana too.

Earlier on Friday, a horrific road accident took place on the Delhi-Patiala highway of Jind in Haryana. The speeding Ertiga car trampled four women parked on the roadside at Kainchi Mor near village Doomarkha Kalan, out of which two women died while two are in critical condition. A police officer said that the uncontrolled Artiga vehicle first hit the divider and then hit the Swift car and trampled two women and their two daughters parked on the roadside. Two people aboard the Swift were also injured in the collision.

Women were waiting for the vehicle to go home

Sadar police station Narwana police said that the matter is being investigated. Savitri, 45, resident of Baba Kundi, Narwana, her 22-year-old daughter Chandni, 42-year-old Nirmala and her 20-year-old daughter Komal were waiting for the means to go home at Kainchi Mor on Friday afternoon, police said. During this, all the four speeding Ertiga were hit by the car.
