IMD Weather Update: Heavy rains are going on in UP these days. Monsoon came late, but it is raining heavily on its way, due to which the situation has become miserable in many places. Normal life has been affected. Flood-like situation has arisen in many districts of the state. Many villages have lost contact. There are reports of house collapse. In many cities and towns, the situation of water-logging has become in low-lying areas. Meanwhile, it has rained heavily on Friday as well. The Meteorological Department i.e. IMD has issued a rain alert for Saturday as well. Due to this, schools will remain closed on Saturdays in many districts of the state.

Rain continued in UP-NCR on Friday as well. It has been raining intermittently for the last three days. In view of the rain, all schools in Noida, Etawah, Meerut, Farrukhabad, Sitapur, Unnao, Aligarh will remain closed from class 1st to 8th on Saturday. On Friday also, schools were closed in many districts due to rain.

Yellow alert for many districts of UP including Delhi-NCR


 

Amidst heavy rains, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in many districts of Uttar Pradesh including Delhi and the National Capital Region. Due to this alert, a holiday has been declared in the schools.

Water filled many buildings and offices in Noida due to rain

It has been raining in Noida and adjoining areas of Delhi for the last three days. On Friday also there was a period of heavy and sometimes drizzling rain. The roads were flooded due to rain. At the same time, there has been a situation of water logging in Gautam Buddha Nagar District Collectorate. Apart from this, government buildings and courts have also been flooded.

Prayagraj: Accident due to lightning, 3 killed, mosque damaged

There has also been heavy rain in Prayagraj. Amidst heavy rain, 3 people have been reported dead due to lightning. There 2 people have been injured. Apart from this, there is also news of lightning falling on a tree in Karchana area. On the other hand, the dome of the Shahi Masjid of Bada Dara in Bahadurganj area was damaged due to lightning falling on the dome. Lightning struck a house in Kidganj area. However there were no casualties. In Prayagraj’s High Court No. 21, rain water was filled.

Hamirpur: 500 houses collapsed, demand for compensation

Incessant rain is continuing in the district. Due to this a situation like flood has been created. Many villages have been surrounded by water. Many of these have been cut off completely. Crops have also been badly affected. It is being told that about 500 houses have collapsed due to rain. Residents are demanding compensation to compensate for the loss. On Friday, hundreds of villagers demonstrated in front of the DM office regarding compensation. National Highway 34 was blocked and slogans were raised.

Aligarh: 9 people buried after house collapse

Aligarh has been witnessing continuous rain for 5 days. During this, 9 people sleeping inside were buried under the debris in the incident of house collapse late on Thursday night. However, he was taken out safely.

CM Yogi did aerial survey of flood affected areas

In order to get information about the situation arising out of rain in UP, the state CM Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey of the rain-affected areas. During this he took stock of Gorakhpur and Sant Kabir Nagar. Apart from this, aerial survey of the areas of Ayodhya, Basti, Gonda and Barabanki was also done.
