Airlines company SpiceJet is having a bad day. The condition is like the flour being wet in the pauper. Today only news came that the loss of the company has increased to Rs 789 crore. Meanwhile, bad news was received from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The DGCA on Wednesday canceled the registration of two more Boeing-737 aircraft of SpiceJet. Not only this, the employees of the company have complained of delay in salary for the second consecutive month.

Registration of 6 SpiceJet planes canceled

Including the latest case of cancellation of registration, the registration of 6 Boeing-737 aircraft of low-cost airline SpiceJet has been canceled in August. According to a senior DGCA official, the registration of Boeing 737-800 aircraft VT-SPU and Boeing 737-900ER aircraft VT-SGQ under the Irrevocable De-registration and Export Request Authority (IDERA) has been canceled on August 31. Under the Cape Town Treaty, if a default occurs, the lessor and the lender may deregister the leased aircraft. Such requests are made under IDERA.

Net loss of Rs 789 crore

Airline company SpiceJet’s net loss increased to Rs 789 crore in the June quarter of the current financial year. SpiceJet said in a statement issued on Wednesday that its losses have increased due to increase in the prices of aviation fuel (ATF) and fall in the exchange rate of rupee. The volatile company had reported a net loss of Rs 729 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The company’s net loss in the last quarter of the last financial year was Rs 458 crore.

Delay in getting salary for the second consecutive month

Employees of airline SpiceJet have alleged delayed payment of salaries for the second consecutive month. At the same time, the company says that it has started paying salaries according to ‘grade’. SpiceJet employees on Wednesday claimed that there has been a delay in getting salaries for the month of July to other employees, including the crew members.
