Uber issued a statement

“We believe this attacker is affiliated with a hacking group called Lapsus, which has been increasingly active over the past year or so,” Uber said in an update. The group typically uses similar techniques to target technology companies and this year infringed upon Microsoft, Cisco, Samsung, Nvidia and Okta.

“There are also reports that the same hacker has breached video game maker Rockstar Games. We are in discussion with the FBI and the US Department of Justice on this matter and will ensure appropriate action is taken soon,” Uber said.
