According to the information given on May 25, 2022 by Dharmendra Patle, Assistant Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Central Public Information Officer, under the Right to Information Act (RTI), till March 31, 2022, a total of 36,573 teachers of PRT, TGT and PGT in Kendriya Vidyalayas. were employed.
A year ago the number of vacancies was 9236. According to information received in another RTI, a total of 7470 posts of teachers were vacant in Kendriya Vidyalayas till December 1, 2020. The number of vacancies has increased due to the retirement of teachers and death due to infection during Corona. Due to non-recruitment for four years, some schools are not getting the availability of teachers as per the standard of Right to Free and Compulsory Child Education Act (RTE). There is also disappointment among the youth of Uttar Pradesh due to non-recruitment of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas because a large number of candidates apply here.
