Yogi Adityanath

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is the largest state. If it lags behind in the process of development of the country, then India will be left behind in touching the heights of development.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the two-day National Urban Planning and Management Conclave on Friday. The CM expressed confidence that the conclave would be successful in making its contribution in making a concrete action plan for UP. Said that Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in terms of population (24-25 crores). If it lags behind in the process of development of the country, then India will be left behind in touching the heights of development. Many programs started under the leadership of PM Modi in 8 years. People used to think that if this scheme is successful in UP, then it will be successful in the country. If UP fails to achieve the target, then the completion of the scheme will raise a question mark.

Urban Planning and Management is the need of the day

Every citizen has the right to get basic facilities. He gives money, wants convenience in return, but when he is deprived of it, he loses faith in the system. When this happens he is headed in the wrong direction. The Chief Minister said that there was a complete lack of planning which should have been prepared for the planned development of urban areas earlier. There was no vision, no political will, no action plan. He didn’t seem to land on the ground. Urban life looked like hell, but the efforts made in 5 years are showing results.

Only by urbanization can the dream of 1 trillion dollar economy come true

According to the resolutions of the PM, if India’s economy is to be transformed into a 5 trillion dollar economy, then UP should also contribute. Every sixth person in the country resides in UP. Its economy should also move towards $1 trillion. Urbanization is an important dimension for ease of living and economic growth. If we can systematically work on our concept of urbanization, then we will achieve the target within the time limit. Rural economy has been the backbone in a state like UP. People have made their own efforts in this direction. In order to fulfill the goal of self-reliance, work was done in rural and urban areas, but no effort was made to change them according to the times. In five years, more than 100 urban bodies were formed in UP.
