IMD Weather Report: The late knocking Monsoon is now approaching its departure. However, for the last few days, Monsoon is seen active again in many states. Southwest Monsoon has bid farewell to the region of Southwest Rajasthan and Kutch. Nevertheless, Monsoon activities are still prevailing in other parts of the country and heavy rains are going to wreak havoc in many states including Odisha for two to three days. In this episode, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and East Madhya Pradesh during the next 2 to 3 days with the support of low pressure over North-West Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha-West Bengal coasts. It will rain heavily.

On the other hand, heavy rains may occur in Madhya Maharashtra on September 21 and 22. Apart from this, rain may also occur in Telangana on September 21. On the other hand, heavy rain and thundershowers may occur over Uttarakhand and western and eastern Uttar Pradesh on September 21 and 22. Apart from this, heavy rains may occur in Arunachal Pradesh till September 24, Assam and Meghalaya till September 23. At the same time, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may also receive rain from September 21 to 22.

Monsoon may return to Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Kutch

According to Skymet Weather, the Southwest Monsoon is expected to withdraw from parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Kutch during the next 24 hours. During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls occurred over Odisha, Assam, Jharkhand and North Maharashtra. On the other hand, light rain may occur over Delhi, Haryana, East Rajasthan, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Vidarbha, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra are witnessing moderate to heavy rains in the state of Maharashtra. During this week, isolated heavy rain and thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places over Vidarbha and at few places over North Marathwada and North Madhya Maharashtra for 2 days.

On September 21, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Bhandara, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Gondia and Wardha of Maharashtra. On the next day on September 22, there will be rain in Amravati, Akola, Jalna, Aurangabad, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar. On September 23, there will be a possibility of heavy rain and then there is a possibility of cloudy sky with only light drizzle for the next 48 hours.
