Noida Police has busted a gang in Sector-63 which was selling fake degrees and diplomas of MBA, MTech etc. across the country for Rs 20 to 80 thousand. Gang members used to trap people by giving fake advertisements on Google. Noida Police has arrested a youth Anand Shekhar, resident of V-16 Maurya Nagar, Anisabad of Gardnibagh police station area of ​​Patna and Chirag Sharma, resident of Gali No.-5 Mamura, Noida in this case. Anand flat no. Lived on rent in 5083 Tower No.-06 Ajnara Crossing Republic, Ghaziabad.

The police have also found old fake degrees and diplomas from both of them till the year 2000, 2002. A police officer said that the police received information that the business of selling fake marksheets, diplomas and degrees was going on in the building located in B-44 of Sector-63. Police raided and arrested two accused Anand and Chirag from there. The police have recovered 85 fake mark sheets, seven blank mark sheet sheets, eight fake stamps, 33 mobile phones, 14 computers and 55 SIMs from their possession.

Police said that before Noida, the business of selling diplomas and degrees to people was done in a similar way in Bangalore. Anand was arrested by the police in Bangalore in January 2022. After getting bail from there, in March 2022, he returned to Noida and resumed his business. The police have revealed that he has been doing the work of selling fake marksheets, degrees and diplomas for ten years.

Advertises on social media

Sector-63 police station in-charge said that the accused used to give advertisements on social media. For this he used to pay on a daily basis. In these advertisements, he used to lure people into his trap by luring them with degrees and diplomas and once he got a call or clicked on the advertisement, he himself used to contact them and make them a victim of fraud. Apart from this, he used to collect information about the students from coaching institutes, colleges etc., and used to call them and used to give them degrees and diplomas on the pretext of providing them.
