Jammu-Kashmir News: A cordial conversation between National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Ravinder Raina on social networking site Twitter was seen as a sign of warmth between the NC and the BJP ahead of the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Is. Senior NC leaders have expressed dismay at the idea that the cordial exchange of words should be interpreted as some kind of political warmth.

A senior NC leader said, “It is unfortunate as well as petty thinking that Umar Sahib has expressed condescension towards Ravinder Raina and vice versa, as a result of some backdoor pact between NC and BJP. to be seen.” The media speculation started when Omar Abdullah warmly responded to Ravinder Raina’s Twitter comments that Omar is the crown jewel among the politicians of J&K.

Raina also said that when he was suffering from Kovid infection, Umar first inquired about his well being. Omar responded by saying that being a political rival does not mean that politicians become personal enemies. NC leaders are saying that Omar Abdullah is a gentleman who does not believe in personal enmity between political rivals.

‘Our fight with BJP is on principles and ideology’

Another NC leader said, “Our fight with BJP is on principles and ideology, we do not have any personal property dispute with them. Why can’t political rivals share the same table and exchange greetings. ” A political analyst in Srinagar said, “The political agendas of the BJP and the NC are so opposite of each other that any future alliance between the two seems impossible, even though we know that anything is possible in politics.” If NC ties up with BJP, then common man will also be surprised.

The politician, a constituent of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, a group headed by NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, said, “Even though Omar Abdullah was a minister in the Vajpayee-led NDA government, the abrogation of Article 370, 35A, and the state It is practically impossible to close the ranks between NC and BJP once it is converted into a Union Territory.” An important dimension added to this development is the opinion of some senior BJP leaders in the Union Territory.

‘How can there be any political understanding between us and the NC?’

A senior BJP leader said, “Our political statement and program is complete integration of J&K with the rest of the country, how can there be any political understanding between us and the NC? Our mandate would be betrayed. Yes, we have respect for Dr. Farooq and Umar Sahib. They are personally warm to all of us and we too.”

It is worth noting that similar speculations had surfaced in the media last time also, when Dr. Farooq Abdullah was invited to the wedding of Dr. Jitendra Singh’s son. Dr. Abdullah not only attended that marriage ceremony, but he was warmly welcomed by senior BJP leader Dr. Jitendra Singh.
