Agnipath Scheme: Dr Sohan Roy, Founder Chairman and CEO of Aeriz Group in Sharjah, UAE, is offering jobs in his company for soldiers who will complete their four years of military service under the Agneepath scheme of the Government of India. Last month, India launched a recruitment scheme for youth for 4 years in all the three branches of the Armed Forces. The youth selected in this recruitment will be called Agniveer. To go in this, the age of the youth will be between 17.5 to 23 years. After completing their four-year term, 25 percent of them will remain in military service and the rest return to civilian life.

Agniveers to get 10% reservation in Aries Group of Soldiers

Dr Roy said the Aeries Group will earmark 10 percent of its incoming recruits for soldiers who return to civilian life after four years of service. Along with this he said that “Maritime industry requires high standards of discipline and punctuality. “The decision to reserve posts for Agniveers has been taken keeping in view the interest of the organisation. Individuals who have received military training will be suitable and beneficial to the organisation. Dr Roy, Founding President and CEO of Aeries Group said that Aeries Group is a conglomerate of 57 companies operating in 17 countries.

He said that the project in his group needs to be completed in a time bound manner and for this there is a need for talented and motivated youth. “We are hopeful that the youth who complete four years of military service under the Agneepath scheme will be disciplined, punctual and physically fit.”

Dr. Roy’s steps taken in the interest of the employees of the company

In the past, Dr Roy has implemented several unique initiatives, including pension to parents of employees who have completed three years in the organisation, implementing strict anti-dowry policy for all its employees, giving salary to unemployed wives of group employees is included. 50 per cent share of profits amongst employees, giving houses to senior employees and providing education allowance and scholarships to children of employees.

Aeries Group will be the first company to hire Agniveers

Dr Roy said that 10 per cent job reservation for ‘Agnivar’ can be reviewed later. He said that our company will be the first foreign company that will give reservation in jobs to Agniveers. We can increase this after analyzing the performance of the first batch.
