  • America should keep its mouth shut: North Korea
  • ‘US tried to defame North Korea’
  • The news of exporting arms to Russia was told wrong

North Korea News: North Korea has dismissed reports of arms exports to Russia during the Ukraine war, saying it has no plans to do so in the future. According to news published in state media on Thursday, North Korea has called US intelligence reports about arms exports to Russia as an attempt to tarnish North Korea’s image. In a statement to state media, a North Korean defense official instructed the US to refrain from making “irresponsible comments” and to keep its mouth shut. Officials in the administration of US President Joe Biden earlier this month claimed through a US intelligence report that Russia was working on a plan to buy weapons from North Korea, including a massive amount of ammunition and rockets. Huh.

Russia does not accept US sanctions

Exporting North Korean weapons to Russia would be in violation of UN resolutions banning the import and export of weapons from the country. However, the official stressed that North Korea has never recognized the illegal sanctions imposed by “the US and its allies” against the country at the UN Security Council. According to a statement given to state media, the North Korean official said that the import and export of military equipment is a sovereign state’s exclusive legal right.

‘America spread rumours’

“However, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify that we have never given arms or ammunition to Russia in the past, and we have no plans to do so in the future,” he said. The identity has been stated to be the Deputy Director General of the General Equipment Bureau of the Ministry of Defence. “It is not clear where the US rumor originated, but it is only aimed at tarnishing North Korea’s image,” the official said.
