Mendis, Nisanka and Guntilka got runs off the bat

The special thing is that none of Sri Lanka’s batsmen played a big innings in this match, but the 30s innings of three batsmen gave them victory. In this match, opener Kusal Mendis played a blistering innings of 36 runs in 19 balls, which included three sixes with two fours. His opening partner Pathum Nisanka scored 35 runs off 28 balls. Rajapakse and Hasranga won

Although captain Gusun Shanaka failed in the match, returning to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs, Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Vanindu Hasaranga, who came at number six and seventh, batted relentlessly, turning the victory into a mere formality in the latter two overs. Rajapaksa scored 31 runs in 14 balls at a strike rate of 221.42. On the other hand, Hasranga scored an unbeaten 16 off nine balls. This is Sri Lanka’s second consecutive win in the Asia Cup 2022.
