  • India series on the verge of defeat
  • It is necessary to win the second match to stay in the series.
  • Worrying performance of bowlers

IND vs AUS: The Indian team is standing on the verge of losing the series against Australia. After losing the first match by four wickets in Mohali, the team is now in danger of losing the series. Team India led by Rohit Sharma seems to be in its own rhythm since the Asia Cup. After losing to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 round of the Asia Cup, the team was expected to make a comeback against Australia but their bowlers once again proved to be the weak link. The Indian bowlers failed to defend 208 runs in the match against Australia, leaving India 0-1 in the three-match series. Although Rohit Senna still has a chance to make a comeback but for that he will have to make three major changes in the second T20 match.

Deepak’s chance in place of Bhuvi

India’s experienced fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been the reason for the team’s defeat for the last few matches. Known for his economical bowling, Bhuvi is lavishing runs and is also giving a lot of extras as well. Bhuvi conceded more than 50 runs for the first time in his career in the first match against Australia. In such a situation, Deepak Chahar, the reserve player of the T20 World Cup squad, should be given a chance in his place. Chahar also bowls excellent swing in the powerplay like Bhuvi and is expert in taking wickets.

Ashwin’s entry in place of Chahal

India’s star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been a matter of concern for the team for the last few matches. Chahal is neither able to take wickets nor curb runs. He also conceded 42 runs in 3.2 overs against Australia while taking a wicket after the match was almost over. Chahal has conceded 169 runs in the last five innings at an economy of over eight and has taken only five wickets, including three against Sri Lanka. Considering Chahal’s recent performance, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin should be given a chance in his place. Ashwin keeps the batsman under pressure along with curbing runs and at the same time is adept at breaking partnerships. Apart from this, he also scores runs with the bat.

Bumrah returns, Umesh rested

Umesh Yadav is not a part of the T20 World Cup squad and was included in the series against Australia after Mohammed Shami was infected with Corona. After this, Umesh was also given a chance in the first match and he also took two wickets but he was very expensive. In such a situation, the team will have to bring back its main bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah is adept at bowling in the powerplay as well as in the death overs and his record against Australia is also tremendous.
