Will be seen in different roles – Karan
England all-rounder Sam Curran has said that he will try to adapt to different roles during the T20 season against Pakistan starting Tuesday, which will help the team. During the domestic season, Sam Curran batted at the top of the order in the T20 Blast at Surrey and then at the Oval Invincibles in the Hundred. But along with England’s top order, Karan may also have to be the finisher batsman till the T20 World Cup.
He said, “I will try to adapt to different roles. I am sure there is going to be a lot of rotation in the team. Players coming back from injury are also adding new players. So my role is different. May be different. I have been asked to contribute with my bowling and batting. He went on to say, “I can get batting down the order as well, but I think it’s about adapting to the conditions. I don’t think about it too much because I have very determined roles in Surrey or The Hundred. But with England, naturally I will try to be comfortable.”
Karan could not play last year’s World Cup
Karan said in the press conference before the first T20 that, “I can be sent as a finisher. Whenever I play for England, I play with an open mind. You don’t want to be just such a cricketer. Who has a role set, which I think is one of my strengths: to contribute as much as possible to the captain and to the people in the team.” Karan could not play in the T20 World Cup held in the United Arab Emirates last year due to injury.
