T20 World Cup, Scotland Squad: The squads of all 16 teams for the T20 World Cup 2022 have been announced. The Scotland team has announced its players in the last. The Scotland team has named Richard Berrington as their captain for the T20 World Cup starting in Australia from next month. Whereas Brendon McMullen has been selected for the World Cup for the first time.

Let us tell you that the Scotland team will have to play qualifying matches in round one before the Super 12 stage. Scotland is part of Group B and will play matches against Ireland, Zimbabwe and West Indies in a round-robin format. The top two teams of the group will advance to the next round i.e. Super 12 stage. Here the teams of Namibia, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates and Netherlands will play in Group A, while Ireland, Scotland, West Indies and Zimbabwe will play in Group B.

Super 12 Stage:

  • group 1: Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Group A winners and Group B runners-up
  • group 2: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Group A runners-up and Group B winners
